Dance Diary in October

Siobhan was back, and Keelin wrote us again!
I also placed second at the September Webfeis, and I'm now in Prizewinner classes!
It's really fun!

AHH! I can't do the new treble jig! I can't! It's impossible! And to top it off, Aiobh has been making fun of me because of it!
Sometimes, Aiobh can be a pain in the bum! Last night, before I packed my stuff for dance, Aiobh came dancing into the room (literally) with a pair of Pacelli Golds, and told me how she had aquired them, and that she is the best dancer at Johnny Golden's! So what if he taught Jean Butler...HE doesn't even teach there! Margaret Golden does!

No class. Siobhan went to Canada for a competition, and Aisling was judging at a feis.

We are getting the feis results really soon! I'm so happy about that!
Class was really small, so it was only a review day for us.
We worked on the treble jig, treble reel, show piece reel, reel, slip jig, and part of a new hornpipe.

Feis news! I won first in Prizewinner, which means I'm moving into PRELIMS!!!!! And if that's not enough for you, Abigayle Flaherty (one of the local dressmakers) came to class to talk with us about getting a SOLO DRESS! I'm so happy! I have my design picked out and everything!

GRRR! Okay, so, Aiobh got word of my new solo dress I might get, and now she's really mad! She didn't get hers until Open Champs, because Ma refused to get it! So now Aiobh is threatening to burn mine, or some nonsense like that! I'm also the only 7th grader in Prelims at school! There are only five Irish dancers, but I'm the highest. Most have just started and are Beginner/Novice. One is even a Prizewinner, but there are no Prelim dancers! Keelin said I get to go to the Oireachtas soon, if I place at two or more feisanna! I can't wait!
